Brigitta Winkler, long time friend of every tango dancer in Atlanta, will be back in Atlanta the week of December 5-9, 2012. Brigitta has been visiting our town regularly since 2002 and she has influenced tango in Atlanta ever since.
Do not miss this opportunity to learn from one of the most creative tango teachers touring the US. We have an exciting program of workshops and milongas.
about BRIGITTA
Brigitta lives in New York and Berlin. Trained in ballet and modern dance, she discovered Argentine tango in 1980. Her teachers in Buenos Aires have included Juan Carlos Copes, Antonio Todaro, Pepito, Gustavo Naveira, and Eduardo Arquimbau. She is a founding member of Tango Mujer, and has performed in New York, Berlin Podewil (1998) and Colorado Dance Festival (1999) Tango Marathon in the Theaterhaus Stuttgart, 1994 Tango Vision in Berlin and Tango Mundo in Berlin, and at the prestigious Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival. She is a frequent guest teacher at Dance Manhattan. Her studio, Tanzart, has been a pillar of the tango community in Berlin since 1987.

All workshops are for INTERMEDIATE AND UP LEVEL OF DANCERS , but different levels of dancers will be in the class and couples are free to work at their own level.
YOU WILL NOT NEED A PARTNER FOR THE WORKSHOPS.
No partner is needed to sign up for the classes, but bringing a partner will secure gender balance.
Partner rotation during the workshops will be completely optional. You can stay with the same partner all weekend long or change partners when suggested to do so by the teacher.

PRICING AND REGISTRATION
5 workshops + LUNA: $100 ($80 for students with ID)
Weekend Workshops: $85 ($65 for students)
1 day of workshops: $50 ($35 for students)
Each workshop: $30 ($20 for students)
Friday Class: $15 payable at the door
Special offer for locals: We want to attract as many out of town dancers as possible to make this a real regional event, so we want to offer visitors the possibility of staying with local dancers for the weekend.
If you host a visitor from out of town in your home, we will give you a substantial discount . Please let us know of your availability, how much room can you offer and any special conditions.
Visitors: Please send us a message using our CONTACT form if you need help to find a place to stay. We can not guarantee an offer from a local dancer, but we will try to find you accommodations.
PRIVATE CLASSES
Brigitta will be available to teach private classes on a limited basis. The available spots will be assigned in a first-come-first-served basis, with priority given to people registered for all the workshops.

MILONGAS THAT WEEKEND
In addition to the workshops, tango activities that weekend include one special milonga and two regularly scheduled milonga. As it is Atlanta Tango's usual policy with visiting teachers, Brigitta will participate in the regular milongas
